Lockdown was hard last time. The restrictions, the uncertainty and the fear of illness really took their toll on people’s mental health. Now we are going through it again but without the good weather. This time, we have more of an idea about how it works, so it might be easier. Then again it might not. More people are working from home again and while some people have adapted well to the ‘new normal’, other people are presented with a new set of difficulties. Here are some suggestions to help adults with ADHD to get through this unique and challenging time.

Returning to school after the summer holidays is a time of mixed emotions and for some children, heightened anxiety. Changes in routine, new teachers, new classes and sometimes, new schools, can be very unsettling. There are many different reasons why a child may feel anxious about a new school year and this can be especially challenging for children with additional needs such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

For many the thought of the school holidays can be very stressful, due to the lack of structure and change in routines, having a big impact on those in the family with ADHD. We have put together a few key areas that will help the school holidays to be less stressful and more enjoyable.
